Summary

Book 2 of All for the Game; The Raven King follows The Foxhole Court

The Foxes are a fractured mess, but their latest disaster might be the miracle they've always needed to come together as a team。 The one person standing in their way is Andrew, and the only one who can break through his personal barriers is Neil。

Except Andrew doesn't give up anything for free and Neil is terrible at trusting anyone but himself。 The two don't have much time to come to terms with their situation before outside forces start tearing them apart。 Riko is intent on destroying Neil's fragile new life, and the Foxes have just become collateral damage。

Neil's days are numbered, but he's learning the hard way to go down fighting for what he believes in, and Neil believes in Andrew even if Andrew won't believe in himself。

I don’t know what it is about books where characters are brought to their last breath and keep fighting that make me feel so motivated。 This one was exhausting to read, but in a good way。 The writing could still use some work。

Four thoughts:1。 I am getting the Great Riko Roast™️ tatted on me and it will live in my mind forever and ever and ever and ever and ever2。 These characters have me losing my mind。 They’re so real and full of life that I get suckered into thinking I’m a part of their gang。 These guys are what makes these books truly great3。 I have a crush on Aaron Michael Minyard4。 I’m absolutely distraught。 There’s no way I’ll be able to survive the next one。 NoneOverall a 3。5, because it made me really upset a Four thoughts:1。 I am getting the Great Riko Roast™️ tatted on me and it will live in my mind forever and ever and ever and ever and ever2。 These characters have me losing my mind。 They’re so real and full of life that I get suckered into thinking I’m a part of their gang。 These guys are what makes these books truly great3。 I have a crush on Aaron Michael Minyard4。 I’m absolutely distraught。 There’s no way I’ll be able to survive the next one。 NoneOverall a 3。5, because it made me really upset and physically sick to my stomach, and the pacing was just a little too slow for my taste 。。。more

This was much better than the 1st one。 There's only one thing I gotta complain and that is that the author describes everything and that is completely unnecessary。 Specially because all these descriptions do not move the story forward。 I love their development and how much we've gotten to know the characters。 We finally learned more of their past history and Neil's real name。 It made me cry twice。 That end, had me bawling。 Look up Trigger Warnings if you wanna read it。 This was much better than the 1st one。 There's only one thing I gotta complain and that is that the author describes everything and that is completely unnecessary。 Specially because all these descriptions do not move the story forward。 I love their development and how much we've gotten to know the characters。 We finally learned more of their past history and Neil's real name。 It made me cry twice。 That end, had me bawling。 Look up Trigger Warnings if you wanna read it。 。。。more

This book was definitely better than the first but still not quite my cup of tea。 Nora Sakavic's style of writing makes no sense to me。 It's not like it's artistic, it's just weird。 With that being said I actually somewhat enjoyed the book because the plot is actually decently interesting。 It's also extremely far-fetched and ridiculous, but hey。 I definitely felt like I was able to understand the characters better in this second book and their motivations for how they act。 But still, a lot of it This book was definitely better than the first but still not quite my cup of tea。 Nora Sakavic's style of writing makes no sense to me。 It's not like it's artistic, it's just weird。 With that being said I actually somewhat enjoyed the book because the plot is actually decently interesting。 It's also extremely far-fetched and ridiculous, but hey。 I definitely felt like I was able to understand the characters better in this second book and their motivations for how they act。 But still, a lot of it was really strange。 One part that I really liked was when Neil said that the team was "finding parts of him no disguise could change。" Like how he hated vegetables, movies, and loud music and his favorite color was gray。 It was interesting me to think about how some things about a person that are accidents, are still unchangeable and how some things don't change, even for Neil who changes his name, his face, his history。 I loved seeing Andrew gradually trust Neil more and more and how Neil was pretty much the only one Andrew would ever listen to。 And then after the Andrew and Drake situation when Neil tries to see if Andrew even cares。 And Andrew is so high on his meds and he's like see Neil? I don't care about anything。 I feel like the ending was so anticlimactic and it really seemed like the author just got tired of writing and then was like yeah so Neil goes to Evermore and gets tortured and comes back。 The End。 But I have to read the next book cuz I can't wait to see Andrew off of his meds。 。。。more

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I can't with this book! I want to hug both Andrew and Neil, like they do not deserve any of the things that happened to them and I want to cry 😢😭。 This better get fixed in the next book or I might scream。 Overall loved finding out more about the characters and I am still heavily invested in the Foxes! I also want Riko dead 😡! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I can't with this book! This is the most absurd horse-shit I’ve read in a very long time! Nothing about this book makes any sense at all。 I don’t even have the energy to go into all that is wrong with this book。 If you really REALLY REALLY want to know what’s wrong with this (besides the fact that the author should be hospitalized for life just for fantasizing about this psychotic mess), I suggest that you read Paulas one star review from 5 years ago because I honestly don’t want to spend another moment on this shite!! I preferred this book much better to the previous one。 Was not expecting the dark turn towards murder, rape, torture, abuse, it added to the story and history of the characters。 The development of the characters was phenomenal。 From the first book I had assumed the wrong person for Neil's love interest。 Im excited (sad) to see how it ends in the last book, what Andrew is like off his drugs, and hoping the slow painful demise of Riko。 I preferred this book much better to the previous one。 Was not expecting the dark turn towards murder, rape, torture, abuse, it added to the story and history of the characters。 The development of the characters was phenomenal。 From the first book I had assumed the wrong person for Neil's love interest。 Im excited (sad) to see how it ends in the last book, what Andrew is like off his drugs, and hoping the slow painful demise of Riko。 。。。more

With Seth gone, the Foxes barely have enough players to qualify to play the rest of the season。 Their game against Riko and the Ravens looms on the horizon, but, as usual, there's plenty of drama within the Foxes too。 Andrew may know some of Neil's secrets, but there's still plenty he needs to keep hidden。Once again, this book is not my usual "type" but I finished it in a day and a half (and would have been faster but sometimes you need to take a break from that much darkness and violence, you k With Seth gone, the Foxes barely have enough players to qualify to play the rest of the season。 Their game against Riko and the Ravens looms on the horizon, but, as usual, there's plenty of drama within the Foxes too。 Andrew may know some of Neil's secrets, but there's still plenty he needs to keep hidden。Once again, this book is not my usual "type" but I finished it in a day and a half (and would have been faster but sometimes you need to take a break from that much darkness and violence, you know?)。 (view spoiler)[It was all well and good and I was happy picking up Andreil crumbs (there's still not much, can't wait for the next book) until I got absolutely smacked in the face with Drake's murder。 Let me tell you, I was not expecting that, and I had to put the book down for a minute (like I said, violence really isn't my thing。。。can someone please tell me why I enjoy these books so much??)。 As homicidal as Andrew is, I just want to protect him from everything bad in the world (can't wait for Neil to start doing that job for me!)。 The ending hurt but it's okay because I already have the next book ready to go。。。 (hide spoiler)] I can already tell I'm going to have the worst book hangover ever。Happy ending meter (no spoilers, just the general vibe): (view spoiler)[Absolutely not happy in the slightest。 Thank god there's another book and it's already out so I don't have to wait。 (hide spoiler)] 。。。more
